Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel was initially created in the Marvel Comic Universe by Stan Lee and Gene Colan in December 1967. The original character was known as Captain Mar-Vell, with her figure represented by an alien military officer from the Kree Imperial Militia sent to obverse the technological advancements of human society on Earth as it relates to space travel.

Over time, there have been a number of version of Captain Marvel circulating within the Marvel Comic Universe. The most recent version, and the one popularly conveyed in the recent CAPTAIN MARVEL film, is that of Carol Danvers. Ms. Danvers is a US Air Force officer who is granted incredible superpowers following a crash and explosion while testing an experimental light-speed engine.
