Chun-Li was a groundbreaking character in the Street Fighter franchise. She is the first female playable character to appear in any fighting video game and debuted in the 1991 expansion of Street Fighter II, Street Fighter II: The World Warrior. She is an expert in Chinese Kempo, a form of martial arts, and is also an Interpol officer.
