On the reverse of these 1 oz SilverTowne Buffalo Silver Bars is the image of Black Diamond. 

This creature actually existed and lived at the Central Park Zoo in New York City in the early 20th century. Black Diamond is an American bison and served as the inspiration for Fraser’s reverse design on the Buffalo Nickel.

The obverse of the 1 oz SilverTowne Buffalo Bar features the right-profile portrait of a Native American figure. 

Fraser combined the facial features of various living tribal leaders of the era rather than choosing one individual’s likeness for the coin.
