dedicated to the 50th Anniversary of the James Bond movie - Diamonds Are Forever™. James Bond™ is a fictional British Secret Service Agent - also known as 007™. He first appeared on the screen in 1962 with the film "Dr. No™". Almost 60 years later the adventures of James Bond™ still entertain the audiences around the world. The coin was struck by the Perth Mint from one ounce of 99.99% pure silver. The motive features the moon buggy in which 007 flees through the Nevada desert and the Bond family crest with the motto ORBIS NON SUFFICIT (The world is not enough) and the number 50. Below the crest are the colored inscription "Diamonds Are Forever" and the iconic diamond satellite. The reverse features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II as well as the denomination, fineness and year of issue. In the seventh film in the James Bond series, Bond pursues SPECTRE boss Ernst Stavro Blofeld, who is hoarding diamonds to power a laser weapon in space. 007, played by Sean Connery, has to neutralize the satellite and prevent Blofeld from carrying out his destructive plan.
