In his 50-year career, 'The Duke' produced more than 170 movies in which he himself played the lead role. The motive depicts an image of John Wayne™ with his cowboy hat on a horse. Next to him is the iconic "JW" logo. The image is framed by one of his most famous quotes, "COURAGE IS BEING SCARED TO DEATH - BUT SADDLING UP ANYWAY." The Perth Mint's mintmark "P" is also included in the design. The reverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Queen Elizabeth II as well as the denomination '1 DOLLAR', the year of issue 2021, and the weight and the fineness '1 Oz 9999 Ag'.
